Here is the list books I have bought and used to develop content for this website. As time permits I will add reviews and ratings for them. I hope you will find this list and the reviews useful.

I've rated each book according to it's readability; it's content rating; it's presentation of the maths involved, if applicable; the quality of worked examples; the quality of code examples. The rating scales are as follows;

Readability
Very formal writing, poor layout or content not well explained,
Readable, but poor layout or content not well explained,
Readable, well laid-out, content well explained,
An enjoyable read. Informal style, well laid-out, content well explained,

Content
An introduction to the topic, but other books are required for a complete understanding,
An intermediate level of detail. An introductary work would be required if you're new to the subject, but a more advanced books would still be required for a complete understanding,
Covers the topic from a beginners’ through to an intermediate level,
Covers the topic at an advanced level. An intermediate or even introductary work would be required if you're new to the subject,

Worked Examples

Mathematics Presentation
No explaination of the equations used. You'll need to be a maths whizz to understand,
Some explaination of equations used. A bit of struggle to get through if your not good at maths,

Code Examples
As there are so many combinations for the quality of the code examples, I've used a text description.

Accuracy (typographical, factual and programming)
